UV-C disinfection, developed in collaboration with partners

UV Smart from Delft has been developing UV-C disinfection equipment since 2017. This happens in close collaboration with researchers and healthcare professionals in various Dutch laboratories and hospitals.

Three devices for validated disinfection

Current disinfection methods (eg manually with disinfectant wipes, chemicals or long lasting-heat are often cumbersome or inconsistent.
The possibility of effectively and safely rendering bacteria and viruses with high-energy UV-C light harmless has been known for years. UV Smart has further developed this technology for effective and fast UV-C disinfection of medical instruments and equipment in healthcare.

The D25 is currently fully developed; the device has been CE-certified since May 2020.

In view of the COVID-19 situation, the Emergency version has been derived from the D25 and has been available since April 2020. The D60 is in the last phase of development and will hit the market in 2021. An overview of all specifications can be found here; scientific and clinical research is listed here.
