The pandemic has brought much harm, but also appears to be a breeding ground for new inventions. Editie NL is visiting UV Smart to see how things are going after two years.
From 17 to 20 November, we were at WFHSS this year. This is the annual congress for sterilisation in Geneva, Switzerland. The UV Smart team was on a booth with the D60. Furthermore, Stefan Rudhart of Marburg University presented his research on disinfection of flexible channelless endoscopes at the WFHSS congress.
The UV Smart team visited the Medica congress in Düsseldorf from 15 to 18 November. Here they showed the new product - the D60. This device is specially designed for the disinfection of channel-less flexible endoscopes and TEE-probes.
A group of experts may soon start writing a Dutch Practical Guideline (NPR) for UV disinfection or sterilisation. The yet to be formed Task Force is looking for expansion of the group of experts in this field. Interested parties can apply until 1 August.
